Winter Wisdom

Winter in Rhode Island can bring blizzards. A blizzard is a very heavy snowstorm with high winds. How do you stay safe on a cold snowy day? How do our animal friends (deer, rabbits, birds) survive when the temperatures drop and the winds blow?

When any of your body parts feel cold,go inside as soon as possible!

When there is a blizzard you should be prepared like going to the store before the blizzard started.Also not going outside when the blizzard just started.Because you might get caugth in the blizzard.

Bears and chipmunks hibernate (a deep sleep)

so do frogs, snakes and even some bugs
