National Library Week

National Library Week is the week of April 13th through April 19th. This is a time to celebrate and enjoy all that libraries have to offer. The Newport Public Library offers children: books, a new graphic novel collection, magazines, CD's, movies on video and DVD, audio books, playaways, downloadable audio books, a toy collection of card and board games to take home, books and media in Spanish and free computer access! Stop by the library for help finding information for homework assignments, help finding a great book to read, or a fun and free live program event to enjoy. The Children's Department will have board games and craft projects available in the library during National Library Week, which is also school vacation week. The Children's Department will also offer a live animal program on April 17th. Check the events section of the library web page for details.
